About Me
Thanks for checking out my info page. I’m not much of a writer but I’ll try to keep it interesting.
By now you know my name, Callista, and that I have a non-nude gallery site of my own. I started it just over one year ago in 2004. I honestly never considered myself as online glamour material but after some coaxing from friends and a little research into the how-to’s and benifits of having such a site I started callistamodel.com. In this past year I’ve learned so much about managing a website from the creation of pages and navigation to photo and video processing and have picked up a lot of different language skills along the way. PHP? CGI? Perl? I’d never even heard of these let alone understood what they did but at least now I can use all of them to a limited extent well enough to get by. Yes, I’m bored reading this too.
The real fun has been in creating content for my site. To date I’ve posted over 210 seperate sets within my site. I turned my bedroom into a mini-studio (re-arranging it frequently, sometimes twice a week! ), purchased lights and equipment, invested in a higher quality camera and digital camcorder and started to work. At first I even tried to take the photos myself but it was quickly evident that wouldn’t work. I wanted to have a better look to the pictures and that would require a second set of hands and eyes. Result: the creation of PhotoGuy®. Actually a close friend of mine PG’s been a big help in the overall look of all of my images and videos.
I’d say I’ve had the most fun taking outdoor sets. Someone upstairs has immense pleasure in making sure that no matter where I go there is always someone nearby to watch as we attempt to make a photographic record of my ‘exploits’! That has led to several funny situations but the best I’d say was when I dressed as a flasher (long coat, fake pant legs) and went around town opening my coat for the camer in public.
The biggest benifit to my online ‘job’ has been the most unexpected as well. I now have what I consider to be the coolest circle of friends I’ve never met. In fact I probably speak more to my ‘online’ friends than I have to most of my ‘local’ friends lately. I’ve been very fortunate to have been befriended by several professionals in the ‘buiz’ also. They’ve helped me understand more of what I was trying to do and guided me in the right direction, offering help and asking nothing in return!! For them I know I can never return the favor in full but I will always be available to do what I can!!
A little bit more about me in general, I guess you could say most about me is my love for both computers and sci-fi. I actually got into computers because of games, which is why I probably play them more on a PC than any consoles. I do own a PS2, an XBox and a Gamecube but really only play on any of them things like RPG’s and the Resident Evil series on the Cube. My favorite ‘style’ of game would be First-Person Shooters like Half Life 2, Unreal Tournament, Doom 3, Splinter Cell, etc. I Love The Sims and the Final Fantasy series too. Trying to mod various games led me to learn more about my PC and that just led to even more stuff once I got online. So I guess games is the start of my being able to even start a site you could say.
And Sci-Fi, I love it!! Star Trek is my all time fav, and Star Wars a close second. I don’t really have a favorite Trek series, I enjoy them all a lot. I’m excited with the final chapter of SW coming out this year, I’m looking forward to the return of Vader!!!! YEA! ~lol
So basically I’m a geek at heart but I love it so I’ll never change.
I don’t have any plans for the future right now, my website is my full time job. I just plan on working with that as long as I can and see what comes next. It pretty much takes most of my time now anyway so I don’t have any time to plan with!
Well, this isn’t really ALL there is about me but as I said I’m not much of a writer. If you stop in and read more as I post here you’ll be able to get a better idea from that. If you made it this far, thanks for reading!!
